I found this old photo today while rummaging through vintage photographs at a junk store. She had the sweetest face and reminded me of one of my nieces, Jacq. I just had to buy it and make it into something. I loved the way her booties were sitting next to the chair. And how the candle and cup on the little table seemed to be put there as a prop. It's all just too sweet.
I've been looking at all these wonderfully creative folks on my favorite blogs and I thought I would just go ahead and give a whirl at collaging, so to speak. (The hub is out of town so I haven't had to cook dinner, giving me the evenings to work.)
I really don't know what I'm doing quite yet, so I just winged it. But, I have to say, I am quite pleased with the outcome. Since the little girl is wearing pajamas, I thought I would do a theme of sleeping. I came up with Sweet Dreams are Made of These (gotta love that Eurythmics' song). I put a "sweet dream" in each of the bottoms--clouds, an angel and a beautiful tree.
And so, here they are, my trio of Sweet Dream boxes.
