Cookies!

Chocolate chips and Mexican Wedding cookies.

And check this out! Brownie bites made in the waffle iron! Brilliant and delish!

Last time I looked, I'm up 5 pounds! Hmmm, wonder where that's coming from.

Ho ho ho!

On the Avenue

 Fifth Avenue. Window Shopping.

Fendi.

Louis. (Don't you love the wrinkles??!!)

Bergdorf Goodman's 2011 theme was "Animal Carnivale."

"Artist & Models" window, carved wood.

"Teacher's Pets," all made of paper.

 "Testing the Waters," metallics.

"Breaking the Ice," all of wool.

"The Brass Menagerie" window.

Jewels and bugs.

 The mirrored look.

Judith Leiber jeweled clutches with show mice.
Some pretty fancy needlepoint, if ya ask me! (The needlepoint animals had real feet. Ew)

It's not easy being green AND tall.

Waiting for the curtain to open.

Wait for it, wait for it . . .

 More jewels!

And, last but not least, one of my faves, of course.

Always love NYC this time of year!

 Busy sidewalks.

Dressed in Holiday style. (The Plaza).

 At Trump Tower.

In the air, there's a feeling of Christmas. (On Fifth Avenue)

It's Christmastime in the city.

Faces of the Season

A beautiful papier mache St. Nick by Angie Clark. Her pieces always put me into the spirit of the Season. I will share more photos soon. Just love her and her work.

And, I love this little guy's precious face.

Along with this one's. "Is  dat you Santa Claus?" Naw, it's just Frankie.

Ho ho hoing!

You Lookin' at Meh?

We don't have squirrels, so this is a novelty to me. Really. I'm serious!

Haven't seen him since. :(

American Pickers in Nashville

Well, after running into Mike Wolfe, of American Pickers' fame, at the Wanda Jackson show, my brother Jim and I were interested in seeing the shop he opened in Nashville.

Yup, there were bobble heads for sale at Antique Archaeology. And T-shirts and cups, oh my. Sad to say, it was pretty much a tourist trap.

It was fun, however, seeing some pieces I remember from the show--especially this Dixie Pig head! 'member?!
I liked the way the tags included where and which season the item was found, kinda museum like.  But then, a lot of stuff wasn't even for sale. Tease, tease. That which was for sale? It was very expensive. A $450 suitcase? Nah, I think I'll pass.

I do have my eye on some Hatch prints!

Red and Green

It's starting to feel a little like Christmas around here.

Even if it is 70˚ in Nashville.
