Still Ho Ho Ho'n

It has been a wonderful stay here. We all love Canada and everyone in it! So much fun. Of course, we have been partaking in all the goodies here.

But oh so good! Don't remember what this one was called!

I have found the perfect dog I want to get after we retire! He wasn't allowed into the lobby cafe, but he sure did try everything to sneak in between the banisters. So cute.

I introduce you to Mr. Bilbo Baggins, a Bedlington terrier.

His parents were as sweet as he was. There are lots of dogs that stay here which is always a bonus.

I was so excited, we came back to the room and I broke the Christmas yo-yo trying to walk the dog! Uh-oh.

I loved this door by our room.

Yesterday, we got up and went to British Columbia and to go on a snowmobiling tour. We were at 3,000 feet and went up the mountain to 8,000 feet. What beauty to behold. We were in Kicking Horse Canyon.

If you're ever able to get up here in the winter, you have to do so.

Beauty beyond words.

It was an all-day adventure and we even had lunch at the top by the old hunting camp.

The birds were well aware of their next food source.

It was a lot warmer on the top of the mountain but still a tad cold.

Can you tell?

A few mishaps, the hub and kid keeled over into a snow bank. lol. We were cracking up!

Then the Irishman forgot to turn at one point. ha! No one was hurt and there were only a few wipeouts. It was a wonderful adventure and I can't wait to do it again the next time we're here.

Another delicious desert last night. Mmmmmmm.

High tea today. With a view.

And more photos from the hotel.

Happy happy!

A Very Merry Christmas 2009

I'm sitting in front of a window with a beautiful view. Oh my. There's nowhere like it. Sigh.

We had a wonderful day of travel. I think the key is to remind yourself that anything that can go wrong will go wrong--then when it does, you're ready. Well, nothing went wrong! Boom, into Dallas just before the storm hit there, straight on to Calgary, a car was waiting for us and drove us to Lake Louise.

Great room with a view. Oy.

We went down to the pub, had a few drinks and warmth and then off to dinner.

Fondue for four. Yum.

Does it get any better? I don't think so.

Afterwards, a walk outside on the lake.

And then a little caroling and hot cocoa by the big Christmas tree.

We were all beat, but the kid got our little "Christmas tree in a box" put together.

We watchted, a Wonderful Life and fell asleep.

Awoke to such a clatter, Father Christmas had arrived! These were on our door this morning.

The boys' goodies.

We had brunch this morning, oh my.

This shot is for Saucy! Love you!

The boys needed to walk and got all geared up to do so.

I stayed here to blog and let them go. Wave to the boys down there.

I also have some garland to make! But, I'm about ready to walk around myself.

It's just breathtaking here. Having the family all together is a blessing. I am missing mom though. I did, however, tell her to give me a sign while we were flying here. I saw a beautiful natural heart shape in the snow a little while later. I know she is with us. And I'm so happy for that.

Ho ho ho. Hope your Christmas day is full of love and happiness. Blessings to all.
