Cigar Box Collage, School Supplies and Bev

I got this idea from one of my favorite shops in the world. Pollock's Toy Shop had these on the wall going up the stairs -- see my post on the shop here if you missed it. I bought all these cutouts there and this is the first time I used them (I think). I also added some vintage wallpaper I had purchased from Pam Garrison which is gorgeous. Almost hated to cut into it, it's so pretty. I don't know where I'm going to hang this thing, probably by my three Rs. I think I'll put a few little toys inside to add another dimension. That's what they did at Pollock's, and they looked sooooo cute!!

In other news, I found almost everything the kid needed from the "list." I went to the teenager's Wallgreens and got the 15% family discount--wooohooo! It helped! It still was about $60! I read somewhere that there were packs available at the school for those who couldn't afford all this stuff. That's good.

And then there's Bev. She has been on a roll carrying socks and other laundry items from my room to the kid's room. Each time I run to grab the camera, I scare her and she drops her booty. This is the aftermath of trying to catch her. (The kid actually snapped the one above.)

Your cigar box is gorgeous! Looks every bit as good if not better than the ones on Pollock's wall!

Well this post was a welcome sight tonight, I just laughed and laughed at the antics of your queen kitty. Afraid I'll never look at socks the same way again, lol.

This shows my low craft IQ, but I've never seen crafted cigar boxes like this, or if i did I'd forgotten them. And I love them, its a future "pretty paper" pile and scissors fest waiting to happen : )

Nice cigar box! Miss Bev's behaviour is funny; I've never seen any other kitty act so! She's such a cute cat helping with the washing, ha, ha...

That Miss Bev, she is so sweet and funny!
Love the idea of the boxes. Yours turned out so pretty. It is near to impossible to find those "scrap" papers here. I found a couple of sources online though. D.Blumchen being one.
Today I wrote a check to an organization that is buying back to school supplies and filling backpacks for kids who need a hand. I'm still dismayed at the thought of 45 items!!!

P.S. I keep forgetting to tell you how nice all these patterned backgrounds on your site are! This one today is my favorite yet!

I have never seen a cat haul things away like that other than a mother carrying her baby kittens! Too funny..
Your cigar box creations are great. We used to use cigar boxes to keep school supplies in our desks, but they were never decorated.

Oh what a beautiful job you did collaging that cigar box...absolutely gorgeous!!! I had to laugh at Bev...they really do get their own little characters don't they! My son Shawn has 3 cats and spending the weekend with them, I could see their little characters immediately:-) Glad you were able to get a discount on the school supplies...every little bit helps!! Take care xoxo

Love your socks photos, and your story. One of my kitties loves to move Beanie Babies from DD's room to all over the house. Hee hee. She's a funny girl. Like yours. Whew! School!
