Sunday's Slide Show

The Family Room

Everyone's getting all fancy schmancy on this blog thing and doing slide shows. Well, of course, I love pictures and I love watching slide shows, from since I was little. And so, I had to make one. I've been kind of puttering all day moving things around in my family room. Putting stuff out, putting stuff away, lighting candles, moving stuff around and basically just "detailing."

Since I've only showed you snippets in my Friday's Corner postings, I thought I'd show you how one of my rooms look in its entirety. Now that I look at these pictures, I see some things that are already dated! The eyelash border has to go on the window treatments! And, of course, I used permanent glue. What a goof ball. Duh. Ladies, never, ever use permanent glue on anything. (Isn't it a lady's prerogative to be able to change her mind?) Remember that before you use the stuff!!!

I haven't figured out how to write in each frame, I'll have to go ask Peggy how she did hers. (I loved her tour of The Homestead!)

I've seen this slideshow effect on a number of sites lately. Someday I'll have to try it!

The room is so welcoming....the kind of room where you can curl up with a good book or have a conversation with a friend.

I can't get the slideshow to work, other than two photos. But the room is gorgeous, exactly as I would have expected with your exquisite taste! I also like your very creative decoupaged cigar box. We're off to the Cotswolds; see you next week! xo
