Routines are Good

It's nice to have the hub home, dinner on the table and chatting as a family. It always seems void-like when he's gone. We did, however, miss the teenager as he was working. It seems our little family is growing up. Amazing how quickly that happens.

They grow up so fast. I have a little ache in my heart when I think of my kids being small. Dressing them up for Halloween, tucking them in on Christmas eve, putting them on the school bus for the first day of school...sniff

Sad but true. Glad the hub is back safely and all is well (other than the teen working - but remember, that's a good thing. :)

I think a routine in life gives one a sense of security. Seems if you blink twice the nest has emptied. But you just wait, grandkids usually come around and fill it back up with their special magic....

Glad your hub is back home safe and sound. I miss my oldest girl so much when she is away at college. It's an ache isn't it? Love the cute nostalgic picture.

Make the most of these years of chatting as a family around the dining table. It's the thing I miss most of all since my kids became adults.
