I went out today and bought Photoshop Elements. I have not a clue as to what I'm doing with it. I've been sitting here for over In better news, I found this magazine today and it's absolutely luscious. It is chock full of wonderful recipes and ideas for us tea enthusiasts. Guess I'll have to share more tomorrow since I'm now dead tired from trying to learn this program. There's just way too much you can do with this. It's totally mind boggling. For me, anyway. It sure is a good thing my kids are in school and not me. I'd fail every class if I had to think like this again. Gee whiz. Perhaps I'll work more on this project tomorrow when I'm a little more refreshed. It is 1:30 a.m.!

I think the best thing to do is to take a class, one of those short ones that last for a week-end. I'd kill for one here. I'm going to try and find one the next time I'm in the States. I saw a great class in Boston-tips on photography along with photoshoping the photos afterwards. Something I really need.

Hang in there! It gets easier. Don't be afraid to just try things and see what happens.
I have the doo dad kit with that bit of lace. It's one of my favorites. You are going to have so much fun playing around with it.
I haven't seen that magazine. It sounds wonderful! I will look for it soon, maybe when I go find the other store you told me about I will stop by the bookstore as well.

Oh, I'm with ya on this one! I have PaintShop Pro9 and I'm completely lost as to how to use it! Everyone says "just experiment" but I get so frustrated after messing with it for awhile that I just give up.

My oldest brother swears by Photoshop...you wouldn't believe the things he's come up with! lol Keep playing with it and it will become easier as you get used to it:-) Hugs!!
Adobe publishes some videos on using Photoshop Elements - someone loaned me one and it was excellent. It makes everything look so easy! Of course, I didn't remember most of it for two minutes, but it was still a help. If you owned the video and/or took some notes, I'm sure that would help.
By the way - I've had Photoshop Elements for a couple of years now. I've still got lots to learn, but just want to mention that the organizer part of the package (what used to be sold separately as Photoshop Album) is really fantastic. Try it out, if you haven't already!

I've never tried Photoshop Elements but I have a double black belt in Photoshop CS.

I am so lost when it comes to trying something new. I have a new computer and seems like I have been trying to get all my files transfered forever.
A friend of mine gave me a copy of Photoshop many years ago, and I didn't have a clue either. A few years later, I took a class and then another, and I still don't know how to use all of the features! In fact, my instructor who was a professional graphic artist said that he had been working with Photoshop since its first inception, and HE didn't know all that could be done with Photoshop. Photoshop Elements from what I see on Adobe's website doesn't have all the features that Photoshop does, but it does seem as if one can do some pretty amazing stuff with it as per their little movie in which a woman shows off her handiwork. I think it was Linda who said that a class would be a good idea, and I totally agree. Once you get some basics under your belt, you'll really have a lot of fun with it! Hang in there, little sister.
