Awwww, Finally

We finally got a little well-needed rain yesterday. It was glorious. It didn't really cool things down until the evening, but just not having the blazing sun burning down on you made things bearable. I could feel quite a difference in the upstairs temperature. I really think we're going to have to break down and get an attic fan. It actually got cold in our bedroom last night. I used all the "kivers" to stay warm--which I love!

I had the worst day with my allergies yesterday. Ugggg. I had run out of my zyrtec (scratch scratch, sniffle sniffle); and when I went to pick it up at the pharmacist, it had not been called in by my doc yet. "Try again on Monday," they said. Monday? Do you see my face, do you see my eyes, can you tell it need it NOW! Grrrr. I was absolutely dying. Sneezing like I had a major head cold, runny and itchy eyes, itchy body....it was horrible. She had pitty on me and gave me three 5 mg to hold me over for the weekend. I took them (all) as soon as I pulled away, like an addict. Man. It was bad.

I had a written prescription for zyrtec that the doc had written months ago that I had not filled -- somewhere. I started looking, like a mad woman (who had just taken 15 mg of zyrtec), to no avail. I did, however, find my old wallet, hehe, that I thought I had hid under the seat of my car and thought to myself that the vacummers had taken it that last time I washed my car. My bad.

Oh my gosh, I say my kids are pigs, but I have no one to blame but myself for this. (Guess the apple really doesn't fall far from the tree, Lord forbid.) Yep, I had a hissy fit. Uh huh, talk about p-i-g-s! I'm as bad as they come. I showed you my catch-all in the kitchen. Well, this is one of the drawers underneath! Everything kept coming out and falling on the floor and I was getting tangled up in threads and ribbons and cables and wires and Lord knows what! I just blew up! I figure I'd clean the drawers out if I made a big enough mess. I really wasn't thinking as I threw everything on the floor with a couple of expletives included. Guess what? It's still sitting there. I just don't even have the energy. The kids, however, are getting a kick out of saying, "Don't even talk to me about my room" each time they walk by the junk heap. Does anyone else out there have drawers like this? It's a crying shame, isn't it? How does it get this way? Do little gremlins come in and just mess it all up? I have to admit, I don't think I have ever cleaned these drawers out since we've lived here; and that's going on over two years!!! (Shhhhh.) I just hope company doesn't come a'knockin'! ha.

I finally found the prescription, on the above-pictured desk, in my red checkbook. (You can even see a corner of IT peeking out in the junk pile on the right of the desk!! GRRRRRRRRR) I spent all day looking for it and found it at 9:40 p.m. The mad woman was going to find it if it killed her! I drove to the pharmacy--like a bat out of hell--and caught them right before they closed. I didn't take another one, after asking the pharmacist on duty if it would be ok in which she answered NO! (duh) But I did take my 10 mg when I woke up at the crack of dawn! I feel so much more normal today. I have to learn not to go a couple of days without that stuff. I am totally allergic to everything. Ok, lesson learned, mom. --smile--

Rosa - I suffered from allergies for years. eventually I found a homeopathic remedy that stopped it in its tracks. Not sure what it would be called over there but I am sure you could find it somewhere. hope you get relief soon xo

Ro, is that a shot behind our old house? It looks so beautiful and green. Sorry about the allergies. Brandi had them really bad too after first moving there. I would get scripts from my doctor and she would take them. What's wrong with that picture?
