I don't know what the etiquette is for replying to comments left for my posts. I haven't been replying under my own comments because I just find it kind of, well, hard. I'm always afraid that I will miss someone's and I certainly don't want to do that. Also, do you come back to read any comments I have left in my comments? I know if I leave a comment for someone, I do not go back to see if they responded to my response. Does that even make sense? If I am being blog rude, please advise me! I wouldn't want Emily Post rolling over in her grave!
Just know that I appreciate each and every time you all write something to me. I read each one and I treasure each kind word. Everyone has been so kind to me since I began this journaling. It has been refreshing to see such kindness in the world today.
So, thank you, all of you--always. With love and appreciation,

You need not apologize to any of us, for we should give thanks to you for your wonderful and beautiful posts. I wake up each morning looking forward to getting on your blog page. Your post is like a breath of fresh air. I am sure that your fellow bloggers will agree that you also make their day too. Keep up the wonderful posts.....you go girl!!!

Don't feel bad or rude for not answering! I tend to answer all comments and go back to have a look on the blogs where I've commented (those I know who answer). You have no obligation to fulfill, so feel free to do as you wish!...
Like MJ has said, your blog is a real breath of fresh air and I'm always looking forwards to my daily visit!!!...
I was having a conversation w/ a friend last week about this very issue. I try to respond to all the comments via e-mail, because I don't think people go back to the posts to read responses to their comments. But it's very time-consuming! And like you, I am very appreciative of people leaving comments. But responding to them all can get to be quite a lengthy process - time that might be better used in writing or doing other things. So it's a dilemma and I'm not sure what the answer is. I'm just trying to keep up! :)
I think you should whatever is the fun for you...because this is all so fun. It has become like therapy for me.
I even started another blog which is where I found you yesterday.
I now have a journaling blog and a "for Sale" blog.

Nice meeting you.
I always read and love comments, I then go to that persons blog. Usuallly I always leave a comment for them. If I've left a comment on a blog, I don't usually look back to thatcomment list to see if the've replied on their own comment list. However on my own comment list on my blog I do sometimes say stuff. Does that make sense?!
I'm like the others, I try to return the comment, but sometimes it;s hard to do.
I really like your blog and read it every day. I very rarely comment tho. I have a sister who lives in the Franklin area, so I know of some of the places you speak of. She lived in Leipers Fork and now lives in Chapel Hill.
Hi Rosa,
Hmmmm, I have to confess I sort of just stumbled into blogging and was really surprised when folks started emailing me. I love to hear from everyone, but sometimes all the correspondence overwhelms me. I've almost stopped blogging because I felt like it was taking over too much of my "real" life. I think I've realized that most people are just happy if you maintain your site and feel happy when you are in touch in other ways but they don't expect it. At least I hope so. I mostly try to comment on blogs and email the people who either email me or don't have a blog to comment on. Lately I'm only doing that occasionally too, not every single time. A few people I feel a little closer too now, like you and then it's a combination depending on what's up. Never feel that you have to get back to me if you don't have the time. I understand completely.
I love the crewel fabric that your mom's drapes are made of....especially with the color of your walls. The Liberty is really pretty, but I like the crewel best. Course that blue is one of my favorite colors especially with a creamy white, so I can't be trusted with this opinion! :>)
My 2 cents worth. I love getting comments but only reply to them if a) they ask a specific question or raise a point that calls for a reply or b) I have something to add that expands on the original post. Likewise I only revisit a comment I have left if it is of type a).
Rosa - you get more comments per week than I get in a year. That says as much as the compliments themselves. I'm jealous. So enjoy them but don't feel obliged to respond, I would say.
Toodle-pip!
