Back Issue

I have loved Victoria Magazine since day one way back when. I think I even saved all of my old issues. Yep, packed them up and moved them with us to Tennessee. They are all sitting in the basement, boxed up with the first several years of MS Living. Getting a lot of use out of them. I'm learning.

I'm probably breaking copyright laws by copying the pages here, but I'm not sure. Hmmmmm. If you don't hear from me, think of me in jail serving time.

Travel!

Victoria, British Columbia has always been on my list of places to visit. I don't know why we've never gone. Well, in fact, when we went to Canada two years ago, this was high on my list. The kid and hub wanted to go skiing instead so we opted for a trip to Lake Louise. It was a delight, but I still want to go to Victoria. I'm staying at The Empress, of course! Take a look at that gorgeous tea and china! Oooof!

Collecting!

This article made me swoon.

I have picked up several old pieces of hotel silver in my travels throughout Europe. Dusty and tarnished, but I still adore it.

Back issues of Victoria Magazine can be ordered by clicking here.

I'm really enjoying your Best of Magazines series! I used to subscribe to Victoria, and I still like the old ones best! I don't think you have a copyright issue. They should be glad for the plug! And you did give credit! But let me know if they send you to the pokey and I'll send you a cake with a file!

Don't worry, I'll go visit ya in jail! hehe Never mind that I'm probably going to be sitting right next to you for breaking copyright laws also! lol I love the Victoria magazines as well and am always on the lookout for older issues whenever I go to antiques shops and thrift stores. If you ever get a chance to go to Victoria, BC, DO SO!!!! I've been there twice and although never stayed at the Empress, I have walked inside the lobby and had tea. It's breathtaking. Very expensive but well worth it. I have two brothers living in Vancouver and the two times I've visited them they've brought me all over...my favourite place was Victoria:-) Another attraction I loved was Fable Cottages but unfortunately that has since been dismantled and the land sold for a condo development. UGH! I should take out my pictures from that trip back in 1986 and scan them for a post:-) xoxo

copyright, schmockyright. They should consider it free advertising. I've only bought one of these magazine EVER. This tempts me to pick up the current issue.

You would love The Empress. Victoria is a beautiful city - full of culture and architecture and, like so many other cities in Canada - very "European" in flavour. Tea time at that hotel is wonderful!
