I will share more later. But I had to get the carnival started! Aiyeeeeeeeee!
We're just warming up. I have had our Mardi Gras XM station tuned in and mom and I have been doing our dancing off an on.
This is guaranteed to get ya movin'!
This one too!
This is one of my favorite Mardi Gras songs . . . but the video is a tad boring. (I'm still looking for a goodie to share!) But, if you're ever in New Orleans, Mardi Gras World is a must. This is where most of the Mardi Gras floats are made. It's an amazing place.

I've never had any King cake nor heard any actual Mardi Gras music...I'm sure it is something you can "get down" too though!
Oh Rosa! I am SOOO jealous of that king cake? I'd love some, thank you!
I actually have a King Cake arriving tomorrow from New Orleans as a surprise for my dad's birthday! (Although I do think it is taboo to eat it after Mardi Gras.) haha!
How smart of you to have video! I should have thought of that!
It all brings me back! Thanks for stopping by!
Here I am dancing away in my computer chair....and I think I just hurt myself! lol I've always heard about Mardi Gras in New Orleans but have never been there...love it that you celebrate it:-) xox
I've had King Cake, but I've never been to New Orleans. The cake was yummy.
That King's Cake looks interesting! Soon, I'll have to make one myself...
Have fun,
Rosa

I visited New Orleans for the first time in '07 and absolutely LOVED it! The food was so wonderful everywhere we ate and I love those Pat O'Brien hurricanes :-)
I miises Mardi Gras World however -- hopefully I'll see it next time.
Wow! You guys know how to do it! Love the mask/pin photo. And the King Cake looks great -- wonder what's in it? You guys sound like such fun! (Don't forget to stop by my One World, One Heart drawing!)
