Twenty Two Years and Counting

As two ships passing in the night,
So quietly neath the stars soft light;
Our paths cross but now and then.
Reaching out, seeking one another again.

While the hub and I seem to have been two ships passing in the night lately-- either I or he in some other place--we finally came to be in one spot to celebrate our wedding anniversary (March 7). I think I was actually here, at Riverside, when the date did come around way back when. But, we're solid, he and I, and we don't have to celebrate on the actual date. But we always get the celebration in. Somehow. Geesh. Twenty two years and we still adore each other. Love ya hub.

Just look how cute he is sleeping with Bella. Pure love.

Mmmmm. View from our sanctuary. (Of course, the kid took these.)

And me messing with quiet time. Snap snap. Can you see it?! I'm bad, I know. Oh well, what can I say?

Dun dun dun, time for our anniversary dinner. Six p.m. (And the hub's birthday dinner --missed it on April one when HE was out of town.) My poor April Fool's Boy. Ok. Get up. Poor guy.

Big doins' at the local fancy-schmancy restaurant, The Wash House.

Views from our window. Outside.

Love the old window panes (inside). I admired the woman by herself. Proud.

Chateaubriand. (ME!) Oh yes.

Lamb. The hub. (Not me. Who can eat something so cute?) I should be a vegetarian. I wish. (Mad? Feel my pain?!)

Ok. Desert. Me=chocolate. Only because the hub turned me on to it when we married way back when. Mmmmmm. Pecan pie with Godiva chocolate. Mmmmmm. (Ok, cool whip, but still good.) Don't tell my brutha, Jim.

Hub??? OH MY!! Only what THEY suggested. KEY LIME BREAD PUDDING. I should have listened. I didn't. (The kid made out with the leftovers--chocolate pecan pie, is all I have to say.)

Full moon? You betchya. (Not the reflection, but you can see it, I'm sure.)

Am I happy. Oh yea. (pic by the kid)

Many, many thanks to you all who have written and to all of you who have sent good wishes through your own means. I feel it. Truly.

Listening to the Beatles' LOVE through the writing of this post.

(You know I've always had this thing for Ringo--and Paul, and John and George.)

I'd like to be under the sea
In an octopus's garden in the shade.

He'd let us in, knows where we've been
In his octopus's garden in the shade.

I'd ask my friends to come and see
an octopus's garden with me.

I'd like to be
under the sea
In an octopus's garden in the shade.

He would be warm,
below the storm
in our little hideaway beneath the waves.
Resting our head, on the sea bed,
In an octopus's garden near a cave.

We would sing, and dance around
because we know we can't be found.

I'd like to be under the sea
In an octopus's garden in the shade.

We would shout,and swim about,
the coral that lies beneath the waves.

Oh what joy ,for every girl and boy
Knowing they're happy and they're safe.

We would be so happy you and me.

No one there to tell us what to do.

I'd like to be under the sea,
In an octopus's garden with you.
In an octopus's garden with you.
In an octopus's garden with you.

Love to you all. Really. Thank you. From the bottom of my heart.
