Flowers, Candy and Fruit of the Month

We received our shipments for the month yesterday and today. I was talking to my brother the other day and I told him how much we all were enjoying the fruit, the candy and the flowers each month. He said "I sent you all that??" I told him he must have felt extra generous that day (or had a sip too many of the liquid refreshment of the day)! ha. He cracks me up.

Today, we received the flowers. Look at the beautiful tulips. I adore tulips. I want to take them with me down to Riverside. Yep, I think that's what we are going to call it, the river hosue, that is. So, an extra special thank you to Susie who will get a little package from me upon returning from Riverside. I'll pick up some local things there in Fairhope to put in the package to make it even more fun. Anyway, I may just pack them up with me and plop them in the car for the roadtrip. They are too pretty and fresh to leave here for the cats to enjoy.

We also received six scrumptious ruby grapefruits which are almost gone, already!

Yum. But, of course, my favorite is the chocolate. This month's delicacy is from Sweetbliss--the creator, Ilene Shane used to work for non other than Ralph Lauren, excuse me. So, you know it's delish! Our package was a collection of her Moo's. Moo's are little (well, not so little) pie shaped chocolates filled with lots of good stuff. I received two each:

The one we chose to share last night was the B&W. Look at the caramel oozing out. Today, I think it will be Elvis. Who doesn't like banana and chocolate?? When I was pregnant with the kid, I was still working at USA TODAY. Each month, I had to arrange for the New Employee Luncheon that HR hosted. The in-house caterer made the most awesome chocolate and banana cake, that of course, I ordered each time for all to enjoy. So, I am looking forward to tasting the Elvis Moo. I'll tell you if the "Moo" brings back memories!

It's actually hot down here, a little taste of what is to come. I'm already sweating. About ready to turn the a/c on. Need to get out and do some grocery shopping for mom. She's staying back here until we can get her room set up down at Riverside. (I like that sound!) Her room is a pretty yellow. I wish they left all the furniture. I loved the way they had it decorated. I'm putting 2 extra-long twin beds in the bedrooms though for all who are tall. I think I may look for some old white iron headboards. That would be pretty with the yellow, like they had here. I already have the white sheets, of course. I may be changing my mind on those after the boys start sleeping in them. White/boys don't mix. We'll see.

Ok, I'm off to grocery shop.

Please write my initials in the dirt near Riverside. Maybe that will work to get me back to Fairhope some day in the future.

Congratulations to you on your Riverside home Rosa. It looks lovely and Susie's name suits it perfectly.
I have an aunt who lives in Fairhope. She's lived there a long time, so it must be a very nice place.

The only good thing about boys and white is BLEACH!
The tulips are beautiful. I planted tulip bulbs this fall, so I am hopeful the bunnies left me some for spring. Otherwise it was a mighty expensive winters lunch for them!!!dqqeuc
