The day before MJ and Kelly left for home, we had an early dinner at the Cheesecake Factory. It is always so good.
The kid took this. Lord only knows what I'm laughing at and who MJ is puckering up for. lol
I love the colors and atmosphere here. I had wanted to paint the master bedroom ceiling kinda like this. Probably a good thing I didn't. I probably would have been tired of it after a year or so! But I still love it here.
Perty.
I had the chopped chicken salad. Yummy.
And the kid and I shared the tiramisu cheesecake. Oh my. MJ and Kell ordered the carrot cake cheesecake. Ours was better, but I finished theres off later that night. Grin. I miss having them here. It was such a wonderful, yet short, time.
Mom is doing ok. Today, she was in her sleeping spell mode. When I arrived there after lunch, she was asleep in her chair and not wanting to wake up. So I put her into bed and sat and watched her sleep for a little bit. It was storming outside so I waited until it had cleared a little. She's had a couple of days of a bad stomach and I don't know what that's all about. But other than those small blips, she's really good. I know it can always be so much worse so I count my blessings with her each and every day, good or bad. Our bad has hardly been bad at all. I watched some of part 1 of the HBO series on Alzheimer's that aired this past week. I taped it so I could watch it by myself. It breaks your heart. Heart wrenching. But after watching it, I know I am so fortunate for mom's wonderful outlook on most days and the wonderful care she receives each and every day from the facility she is in.
The teenager had all four of his wisdom teeth pulled on Thursday. Ouch. I remember it all too well. It seems only one of the four is giving him pain, so he's lucky! I think they had to dig down to China to pull all of mine out. Yowza. But, he's doing well. It's all gud. I'm glad that's over. Phew. I'm sure he is too! Don't ya know.
The kid has his last week of school coming up. We're all anxious for that. I'm like a little kid when it comes to school. I still feel the excitement of summer coming up! Yippee. Summa time, when da livinz e-z. Oh yea. Bring it on.

I've eaten at the Cheesecake Factory, Rosa.... I can't remember what I had--but I did try some of that fabulous cheesecake. I love that stuff--but it adds bumps on my hips... ha
They had to go to China to get a couple of wisdom teeth also.. I still have the top two...
Hope Mom is okay tomorrow!
Hugs,
Betsy
I haven't been to the Cheesecake Factory in years. Maybe the next time I'm back in the States...
I' love cheesecakes! That must have been a very pleasant meal...
Cheers,
Rosa
You just keep enticing me with all that yummy food!!
About the ceiling in your bedroom and the cheesecake factory ... you would have been hungry for cheesecake all the time! ;D
Glad you enjoyed the visit, that your Mom is ok and the teenager did well with his teeth.
Summertime .... and it's HOT!
I had my first Cheesecake Factory visit last month in Cleveland. Fabulous!
Sounds like a good visit all the way around. Visit pbs.org/theforgetting (I think -- the program was The Forgetting) -- they had some good Alzheimer's resources if they're still up.
