Thank goodness the elections are over and we are just awaiting the results. The Dems won the House but don't know about the Senate. At any rate, we can get back to the real business of the government now. Maybe things will get better. Who knows.
we've had your election on the news over here, in fact I was awake with the radio at about 3am and woke andy to tell him Hilary Clinton had got a seat. He grunted 'good' and rolled over...
Even better news about your mother though, that's even more important!
So glad to see that you made it to the polls and cast your vote my dear! Goodness, what a night it was! I stayed up 'til about 1am waiting to hear the results of the Senate race, then HAD to go to bed. I find it reassuring that so many folks are paying attention and that they cast votes. With all it's faults our country once again proves that it is the people who stand up that make a difference. Our democratic system works and we can take pride in the peaceful transfer of power.
Hey Rosa. It has been a long while since I've been here, way back when we were having the auction at Peggy's. I had to quit coming because every time I accessed your blog, I would get knocked off line. I read someone else was having that problem too; I think it was Pea. Anyway, it seems to be working now and finally I can see what you have been up to. What a busy bee you have been. I had lots to catch up with. Wonderful news your mom is ok! See you later...
Hi Rosa:-) I'm sure all the Americans are very glad these elections are over with...sure got nasty there for a while!! We have our Municipal Elections coming up next week and I'll be glad when all the campaigning is over with!! xox

I am so glad that your Mum is fine... what a relief. Certainly a reason to celelbrate
Still a nail-biter here in VA, a day later!
Wow! Its so cool that we get to be involved in our government & political process. What a blessing. Thank you, founding fathers! :)
