You've got to get yourself together
You've got stuck in a moment
And you can't get out of it
Don't say that later will be better
Now you're stuck in a moment
And you can't get out of it
And if the night runs over
And if the day won't last
And if your way should falter
Along this stony pass
It's just a moment
This time will pass

Yes, indeed, it is another day. I was so completely overwhelmed yesterday, I didn't know if I was going to be able to handle another day. But, I survived the night and actually slept well. It took a couple of hours to calm myself down after finally finishing my all-day post last night in my anxious state. Much to my surprise, when my head hit the pillow, I was out. I think that's all I needed. One night of not sleeping does me in, obviously. Geesh.
I have moved on and have a new attitude this morning. My friend Pam, one who met me at Riverside, sent me this gorgeous arrangement of flowers for Halloween. I found the box in my entry way from one of my many "take-a-deep-breath" trips yesterday. Several times, I attempted to take a look at it and see what it was and was interrupted by one thing or another. Around 5 p.m., the phone rang and it was Pammy. She asked if I had received the box. Well, yes, there was one there but I had yet to get to it! Lordy. You know it's bad when it becomes impossible to open a box! Anyhow, I promised that after our conversation, I would get to it. When I did, take a look at them!
Pam says she always uses Flowerbud for sending flowers. I had never heard of the company, but now I am glad I have them in my computer "Rolodex." (Remember those?!) These flowers are absolutely breathtaking, wouldn't you agree? (I added the two sunflowers from my weekend arrangement though--not that it needed it.) Look at the cattails and the little pumpkins! Amazing!
Pammy, thank you from the bottom of my heart. You made a horrible day bearable by spreading your love. This has to be one of the most beautiful arrangements I have ever seen. You are just the bestest ever. I love you and miss you.
