Goodnight To Geneva

We had another busy day, the kid and I. My feet are tired tonight. We walked up and down the hills of the old city at least four times. Time for some advil.

Started out kinda late as mentioned so we started our day with a sandwich and a baby quiche by the lake. The kid enjoyed feeding the birds, as always. The lake is so tranquil as is the river flowing into/out of it. This is the hotel we stayed at the last time I came here with the hub over 17 years ago. It was purchased by the Four Seasons, so I suppose we'll never see the likes of those rooms again! Wow.
Then, we headed up the hills to the old part. I found some lovely items that I'm bringing home, some carved wood garland that will look quite nice in my bedroom. It's very expensive here, so I don't buy a whole lot. I do, however, enjoy every moment of window shopping. These pieces were over 800 francs each! Ouch.

This is our afternoon snack. Oh my. If I see crepes, of course, I have to stop!

(sideways, I know, but I'm not fighting with blogger any longer!)

For dinner, we ate at The Fatted Pig (I believe). I ordered the goat cheese salad and Lyonese (sp?) sausage with potato salad. Sooo good! Here's the dessert we all shared. Talk about the fatted pig!
We are heading to Brussels tomorrow morning, so I better hit the hay. Look forward to our last leg and relaxing with the hub a little. He is finally finished with business!

These are some beautiful door knockers, obviously. The fountain is one of many in the old part.
