Spring is in the Air

You'd think, one day, I may just grow my own iris. I haven't planted them in the past two placed we've lived.  That's just not right. I adore them!

My daffs are blooming, so I've made the place look a little springy inside also.

I love these little fellows.

The basement  is coming along just dandy. (Don't look too closely at the smaller "before" pic. HOARDER!) I don't care to admit to how much junk I threw out or gave away. Why in the world do some of us do this? Lawdy me. I got it from my mom. Hope my kids don't catch it from me!

While we had wonderfully warm weather yesterday, there was a nip in the air today. The hub was given a wonderful gift of Chinese tea when he was in Beijing last week. It is perfect for these cooler afternoons.

Today we've had this spring forward time change, which is always a challenge.  I don't much like it.

That first photo of the purple iris against what looks to be orange tulips (?) is so striking. I love the color combination.

That must have been a huge job in the basement! It looks so organized now. I need lessons on getting rid of stuff!!

It always takes me a few weeks to adjust to the time change...right now my sleeping routine has gone right out the window!! I do love the longer daylight hours though! lol

Your daffodils are gorgeous. I have some growing as well...under a couple feet of snow! lol Still tons of snow here and with temps of 20F today, it won't melt anytime soon.

Great job on decluttering our basement! I know, isn't it terrible how much stuff we give away or throw out?

If you have a chance, come on over to my blog, I'm celebrating my 5th blogiversary with a giveaway:-) xoxo

My bridesmaids carried those irises at my wedding. Simple long stemmed bouquets tied with ribbon. They've always been a favorite flower of mine.

Your home is looking lovely Rosemary, and so cheerful.

It is sunny here today, but still pretty cold. I'm hoping the afternoon will warm up enough to open up the windows for awhile.

I too struggle a bit at first with the time change, but have to admit to loving the longer daylight hours right now. It seemed a very long winter this year.

I am aching with joy of that purple Iris with the orange behind it. Glorious.

I am a hoarder, too. I try to be an organized one -- sort of. I'm not, but I pretend...
