I found this orange table square at a thrift shop the other day. In truth, I bought it for Val. You see, Val makes these wonderful tea cozies and sells them in her Etsy shop. Thinking this linen would be perfect for her to use for more cozies, I bought it, for her. I have several of her cozies, each one better than the next. So, as I was looking through her shop the other day and spied this one above, I knew I had to have it for fall. You see, I really am trying to get fall moving here, even if Mother Nature is not. Well, long story short, when I opened the table square to see if it needed laundering before mailing it out, I noticed it was in absolute perfect condition. And, once I spread it over my kitchen table, it matched perfectly with its surroundings. It just so happened that the new tea cozy arrived about the time I was "inspecting" the table square. Can you see what I'm talking about? Is it not a perfect pair??? They had to stay together. Sorry Val, I'll make it up to you, promise.
Well, seeing those two paired together in all their orange brilliance, I began looking around at what other oranges I have in the house. It was actually kind of fun. I hadn't realized that I had this much orange lying around. So, for your orange viewing pleasure, this is what I came up with. (Pardon my ignorance with Flickr. I hope this works.)

TOTALLY Gorgeous! Totally! Oh, you are so good...
That cloth is absolutely beautiful and so cheery. I can see why it stayed with you -- looks great with the tea cozy! So you see, you can show off Val's work AND enjoy the cloth!
Love the idea of a color-oriented post. I'll have to keep that one in mind!

Hi Rosa, The colour is so bright and cheerful. Its dull and wet in the UK and really cold. Im thrilled you would want to add me as a favourite blog. I didnt think anybody would be interested when I first started blogging, so you have made my day. I read your other blogs a few days ago and wanted to say although I found yours and Johns story very sad it was very moving too. (I hope you dont mind me commenting on something so personal) Best Wishes Mandy X
P.S. I deleted my first comment by mistake. My new laptop is very sensitive and I got a little over excited whilst typing. Hee Hee
I love the tablecloth and cozy. They look so good together, I'm glad you are keeping it.
Look at you all techie and all. I love the orange and there's no way that tablecloth should be far from that tea cozy. You've got the eye!! Thanks for the plug, dear friend. Thank you.

Rosa, I found this book and thought of you and your mom.

Oh, Fred was right again. No rain LOL
They look great together. Can't see the flicker thing cause I am at work and it blocks flicker. You can find Val another table clothe when you come over and explore the thrift store across the street from my school, lotsa stuff like that there.
I am ready for Fall too!

I would have kept that nice cloth too! It does look wonderful with the cozy. Your fall posts are inspiring me. I haven't brought out a single fall thing yet. It's supposed to get into the 80's here again soon. I'm not a happy camper. I'd just started looking forward to the brisker weather and cozier days. I did pick up a pretty red maple leaf in my dad's garden this morning, so I'm hopeful that the hot weather won't last long.
