That's about how I feel. I tell you, if I continue to feel so blah, I'm going to have to get myself an appointment and go see my doc. Yuk. I just can't seem to pull out of this funk.
I've been trying to do little things around the house to cheer me up like making these little sets for the kitchen. I found these sweet little faux chocolates (at least, I think that's what they're supposed to be) in 'bama. They were too adorable to resist.
And then, the same store had these cloved lemons that look sooooo real; couldn't resist them either.
Bella found a new spot before leaving Riverside, in the kitchen window. Now I don't normally allow my cats to get anywhere near the kitchen countertops, but she looked so comfy, I didn't have the heart to shoo her away. I felt so sorry for her. Monday morning, when I began my "closing down" chores, she must have sensed that we would be heading home. She hid away in mom's room until it was time to go and fought like a loon as I put her in the kennel. Poor boo. I kept pretty much to the speed limit (just under 80, teehe) and we made it home fine. The hub picked up a cold en route back from China and had to leave again yesterday for a trip to the Carolinas. Is there anything worse than flying with a head cold? Ouch. I remember having a double ear infection flying back from London once. I thought I would die before making it home. Remind me to delay my trip next time.
Took mom in to have her flu shot today. We had to go to two places to find one without the themerosal preservative. I don't know about you, but the thought of putting any amount of mercury in our system doesn't sound good to me, especially when you have the option of a vaccine without it. Easy choice. The walk-in clinic only had the one with themersal. Walgreen's had both, one with the additive and one without. They told me the vaccine without the mercury is used on kids. Now, that has to tell you something right there. Ew. I have yet to get mine. It was so busy, they said they would take mom right in so I didn't even ask to get mine. I'll go back later.
Well, that's about it for now. Hope all is well in Blogland. Need to catch up on my visting, soon.

Hello dear Rosa:-)
I'm slowly making my way through Blogland...you guys were busy writing and posting while I was away!! lol I love the faux desserts, I have a few of them and think they're so darling. I've made oranges with cloves but never lemons, that's so interesting!
I'm sure it was sad having to leave Riverside for the winter, hopefully the next few months will zip by!
I hadn't heard about the flu vaccine having themerosal preservative in it...geez, as you say, who wants mercury in the body? Sheesh! My mom is always so sick after she has hers, maybe that's why!!
Sorry to hear you're still having the BLAHS...I hate feeling like that, it's always so hard to get out of it. You need to come over here and visit me:-) xoxo
I'm sorry to hear that you are not feeling very well and that you have the blahs! I love that kitchen picture...
Take care and all the best,
Rosa xoxo
I hate getting the blahs. They come around for me around Christmas. Exercise helps me. Of course, I always need a nap afterwards.
How did you know about the different vaccines. I've never heard that. I dont get flu shots but my mom does.
As for the blahs? I think you need a little pampering. A Spa Day maybe? A massage and a facial should do the trick. You've had a few changes this year, it's no wonder you feel a little out of whack.
Well, you know how much I love autumn, and my seasonal decorating, but I've not done hardly any this year. I have to get busy! My friend Beth is coming for a visit from Maryland next week. I keep hoping for some energy soon!
Yes, do go back to the doctor. Mine has recommended a sleep study. Now, how on earth do they do a sleep study on someone who doesn't sleep?!!!! LOL!
Thank you for mentioning the mercury in the vaccine. I didn't know about it either. I don't get silver fillings anymore because of the mercury. I've read some pretty interesting and scary thoughts about mercury. Some folks have even been diagnosed with MS, and it turned out to be mercury causing their symptoms.
I hope you feel better soon!
I had no idea about the mercury in the flu shots... good thing you told us, I am due for mine right about now as well. With my arthritis, the entire family gets a shot. Mercury... no way!
OMG! i can't believe blogger is down and stole my comment! that burns me up. i said.... i can't tell if you are feeling blah physically, emotionally or psychologically. and i also said bella looked very sweet in the window and that it made me sad you were closing up the chateau for the summer since i like it there so much. then i said to take care of yourself.
XOXOX
Hey,,come hang with us tomorrow and make some Christmas cards, that will get rid of your blahs!
xoxooxoxoxoxo
Gyppy is like that too -- once he gets wind of a road trip, he finds spots to hide that are impossible to remove him from.
