Decompression

I can finally feel my wheels slowing down a bit. Phew. I was beginning to think I was going to just be angry for a while. Just about taking all my angst out on the hub. (Sorry hub.) My normal smile actually came back to my face as I was driving today. Perhaps my hormies are getting back in balance. Maybe it's the serenity of Riverside. Whatever the case, I'm happy about it.

I took the above pictures a couple of nights ago on the fishing pier in Fairhope. Does it get any better? Two friends fishing on a dock of the bay? Watching the time drift away? "Sitting on the dock of the bay, wasting time." Nope, doesn't get much better than that.

Even Bella is chilled. She's loving her Nantucket-in-Fairhope basket.

A friend. Perhaps the one who lost his tail our last visit? Looks good to me.

Aw, Spanish moss, all along the Bay.

A little general store on the Bay.

We spent a gorgeous morning yesterday on the Gulf. It was absolutely perfect. That is, until the jelly fish began showing up. Ew. Hate them. That's ok though, we had enough sun by that time. Just a little color to the face. Perfect.

On our way back home, we stopped in Summerdale. All the little town squares have these sweet clocks.

See? But this one is more well known than the other small towns in these parts.

One of the things that drew me to Fairhope were the kitties in the shops. Most of the shops here have either a resident cat or dog. This is one of the many art galleries here. Looks like a new book is out. I didn't take the time to check it out this trip in to town. Next time. I love children's books.

Sigh.

Wow, I'd also be decompressing if I were there! That sea looks ever so beautiful and dreamlike greenish blue! And that store is so picturesque! Wonderful...

Cheers,

Rosa

This looks wonderful, Rosemary. I'm so very glad you're coming back to your "old self" and settling in to enjoy. You've been through a lot of stressful stuff lately, even though some -- like Paris and graduation -- is fun! Miss Bella looks like she's in her most divine element! Hooray!

Well, I'd imagine most anyone would feel better in such a lovely place. I'm sure glad to hear that you are feeling happier.

I've enjoyed your Pensacola photos too. I remember the old bridge from when I was a child. I've been across it many a time.

Take care.
