Let it Snow . . .

We had about six inches of snow yesterday. It was truly a winter wonderland.

The kid and I woke up and went for a nice long walk as the snow fell. It was so exhilarating and beautiful.

Yesterday afternoon, the Trans Canadian Highway was closed due to avalanches! No one was hurt, so I was very excited. If people were here, they were stuck here for the night. Not too shabby.

We had plenty of rain instead in the west coast, 150mm in some places.

  6. Here in the midwest, it's in the upper 40's, and feels more like April than January! Bizarre weather, that's for sure! The snow DOES look beautiful, tho!

Thanks for reminding a Norwegian how a real winter should be. Here we have snow only in the Mountains, with closed roads due to heavy wind.
Normally, we heritage your weather conditions a week or two after. But, what's normal this winter?

Once again, thanks for sharing Winter Wonder Land

  14. So that's where all our snow went!!! lol I'm just catching up with everybody and oh Rosa, what beautiful pictures you've posted the last couple of days!! I've never been to Lake Louise but now I want to go! A lot of people don't like snow but you have to admit, it sure makes for pretty scenery!!! And the food...never mind the ski slopes, just leave me at the table!! lol Sounds like you're all having a wonderful time...no snow here at all these days. What little sprinkle we got over the weekend last week is now all gone, in fact it was raining today. Weird for NORTHERN Ontario!!! Much love xoxo
