I'm just glad everyone is ok, and I hope they remain that way.

Getting older is sure a lot different than I expected! So far so good. But I must agree with you about the health care in this country....we have to do something about it. It's almost inhuman!!Janethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10084823218319628822noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10714961.post-46521754172868290282008-02-04T13:20:00.000-06:002008-02-04T13:20:00.000-06:00Your family has had a lot to think about, lately. ...Your family has had a lot to think about, lately. I am glad that things are woking out and improving. I hope that your husband will feel much better soon.
I am glued to the election news, and agree that health care is a priority issue. In a nation that stands for human rights, the thought of anyone being denied health care for any reason, is a true shame, to me.Lenahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16147259175811183482noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10714961.post-67937568556601359762008-02-04T12:45:00.000-06:002008-02-04T12:45:00.000-06:00Gosh, must be something in the air, I'm getting ba...Gosh, must be something in the air, I'm getting bad news from all over as well...
By the way, it doesn't matter where you look, health is THE major crisis. Same here in the UK, not enough doctors, dentists etc, but still hospital wards closing and pay cuts ( these guys work 16 hrs in a row for goodness sake!!!).

Similar story in France ( system is part national health, part private payments by the patient) - they had it coming from the word go, the national social health care system is now 12 billion euros in the red! technically, it remains a lot faster to get seen in A&E, although routine ops can take months of waiting as well.
I'd love to see a preventative system, where everyone would have a real check up every year rather than a "come when you're really sick" approach.Miss*Laurencehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14017636821470490108noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10714961.post-89264256886993938902008-02-04T12:17:00.000-06:002008-02-04T12:17:00.000-06:00Yikes. CEO get billions and run! I bet if it was their family not being able to get a bed in the hospital, or waiting 12 + hours to be seen in the ER they'd be paying for private care. It stinks! The doctor's are mad as hell too. I just hope everone is on the mend and pray that a family member can be to help. Miss ya gf! XXOO ~ Aim
P.S. I have to say that I like the Socialized Medicine here in France. Of course, our taxes are awful.Lindahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07041872314763651462noreply@blogger.com
